IOSH Working Safely
This module has been developed in close liaison with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) to provide the essential information that employees need to stay safe. It is ideal as a foundation course for new employee or young employee or where employees have not received health and safety training. At the end of the training trainees who pass the end assessment will receive either an ‘IOSH Working Safely’ certificate or passport which is nationally recognised by employers and clients.
Health and Safety Induction
Employees who are new to an organisation or who are young people suffer more accidents and ill health than the rest of the working population. Induction training and orientation in the workplace is essential to protect employees. This training module provides the essential information that all new employees need to stay safe and healthy during their first months of employment in your organisation.
Asbestos Awareness
The aim of the module is to provide the trainee with an awareness of the dangers of asbestos, where it might be found and what to do where the presence has been identified. It can be used to meet the awareness obligations of employers and is equivalent to a category A course.
Conflict Management
Helps employees who deal with customers to recognise signs of aggression and conflict and how to deal with the situation effectively. It helps meet the training requirements set out by the British Retail Consortium's new 'Tackling Violence Against Staff - Best Practice Guidelines for Retailers',
Display Screen Equipment
This module provides the trainee with the ability to understand the hazards associated with display screen use. They will learn what actions can be taken to ensure their workplace is a safe environment for them to work at and how to establish an ergonomic workstation.
Electrical Safety
This module provides trainees with an awareness of the hazards and workplace precautions relating to the safe use of electrical equipment, systems and portable appliances.
EMF Awareness
This module will help trainees understand the risks associated with electromagnetic fields (EMF) that maybe present in the workplace and meet the legal requirement to train employees and control EMF's at work.
Environmental Awareness
The aim of this module is to describe the major environmental issues facing organisations and help the trainee to understand how they can contribute to reducing environmental impacts.
Fire Safety
This module aims to change the way your organisation thinks about fire safety. It's designed to promote a culture within your business that encourages everyone to focus on fire prevention and the correct action to take in the event of a fire.
Food Safety
Covers the level 2 food hygiene syllabus and includes HACCP, food temperature checks, general food safety practice and personal hygiene responsibilities. Ideal for those new to a food environment or need refresher training.
Hazardous Substances
Covers all the requirements of COSHH and includes the latest labelling requirements, precautions, use of personal protective equipment and hygiene.
Managing Safety
This module helps managers and supervisors meet the demands of modern health and safety requirements by following the Health and Safety Executive's Guidance note 'Successful Health and Safety Management (HSG65)'.
Manual Handling Awareness
This module helps the trainee to recognise common manual handling hazards, take positive actions to prevent injuries to themselves and others, understand a suitable form of assessment and select appropriate precautions to control risks.
Noise Awareness
This module will help the trainee understand the effects of noise action levels and where controls or precautions must be implemented. They will also appreciate the key points of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations and the range of controls and solutions available to manage noise at work.
Office Safety
This module covers a broad range of potential hazards often found in an office environment. It introduces simple actions that can be taken by employees to minimise the risks around the office.
Slips, Trips and Falls
Covers the main causes of slips, trips and falls in the workplace and what employees can do to prevent them. Uses latest HSE guidance and a practical hazard spotting exercise to raise awareness in a number of workplace scenarios including office, shop, catering, construction and manufacturing.
Working at Height
This module covers the range of hazards that need to be considered in typical working at height activities, the control of risks, undertaking assessments and visual inspections. It includes examples of safe use of related equipment such as ladders, scaffolding and Mobile Elevating Platforms (MEWPs). The course helps meet the training requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
